He will explore the many provocative legal aspects of the trial, and examine Maj. Gen. Lew Wallace’s unique role as the only attorney chosen to sit on the military tribunal. Part 2 is an evening screening of Robert Redford’s historical drama, The Conspirator, the story of Mary Surratt, the only female conspirator and the first woman to be executed by the US government.
