February 21-23, 2020-Aiken, SC-26th Annual Battle of Aiken
This is the 155th Anniversary of one of the last Confederate victories of the War. Spectators and reenactors will experience history coming alive during a weekend of Civil War battles, demonstrations, tours, displays, music, crafts, food, and Saturday’s Blue Grey Ball! Tour the historic log cabin, one room schoolhouse, jail, mercantile building, and soldier’s camps. There will be eight food and drink vendors available, including delicious southern BBQ.
All reenactors: artillery, cavalry, infantry, medical, musical, and civilian are welcome. There is no participant registration fee if registered by Jan. 30. Walk on fee is $10. There will be a $150 bounty for the first 20 artillery full size guns that register. All impressions are needed for SC’s largest school day at 8:00 AM on Friday. A meal ticket will be issued at 8AM to all school day participating reenactors. American military impressions from all war periods (colonial through the Gulf Wars) are needed for our Military Time line presentation that honors all veterans. One of the Carolina’s largest events, this 26th annual event is conveniently located at SC exit 18 on I-20. The nonprofit event is sponsored by the Barnard E. Bee Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans.
